During the summer of 2006 they made a tour around Iceland, where they where a part of Akureyri summer festival, the Blue church concerts in Seyoisjörour, Summer concerts in Stykkishólmur and in the Fríkirkjan in Reykjavík. In the fall of 2007 Mógil performed in Reykjavík, they had a review in the newspaper Morgunbladid and a translation of the article is attached. These concerts were try outs for their recordings in the church in Sólheimar in Grímsnes.
These recordings resulted in their debut album ‘Ró’. The CD will be released in the summer of 2008 in Iceland and in the autumn in Belgium on the Antwerp based “Radical Duke” label.
The quartet “Mógil” composes their own songs, which are written to old Icelandic folk texts. New lyrics are similarly written in the folk text style. A critic described the songs as “ Lyrical and sweet and sometimes as a continuation of the Icelandic “Lied”.
